Grimsby Shipyard Services is a vital part of Grimsby Fish Dock Group’s maritime services provision.

Heavily invested in and providing vital heavy lifting and laydown facilities on a reinforced quayside, it is the repair, maintenance and inspection solution for the UK’s leading offshore wind operations and maintenance cluster, while also supporting near shore fisheries and other commercial craft requirements.

Pride of place at Grimsby Shipyard Services is the 17m high 200 tonne boat hoist, a significant investment to enhance the capability of the wider Port of Grimsby East, operating at the heart of the first port on the Humber.

First commissioned in 2016, the £1.9 million investment is the centrepiece of the operations, replacing chain pulls up the ramps that had long been dormant prior to the port’s resurgence.

The committed Grimsby Shipyard Services team operates 24/7 to meet client demand, liaising with inspection, maintenance and repair contractors, insurers, surveyors and other marine professionals.
