Maggie joined the GFDE board in 2022 as the representative director for North East Lincolnshire Council, a founding shareholder. She has worked for NELC since 2008, and closely with the food processing and offshore wind industries in her inward investment role she has held for more than a decade.  

 

She has a background in funding programmes and has supported GFDE and other port businesses to access grants, helping attracted investment and create jobs. Prior to this, Maggie was a small business owner for 15 years, giving her a deep, lived understanding of the challenges facing local enterprises - and the opportunities that a place can unlock.

Originally from Northumberland, Maggie moved to the region when she was young, and has lived here ever since, choosing Grimsby as her home. She enjoys travelling with her two grown up children and husband to music events in the UK and abroad, and relaxing at home tending an exotic garden.
