Simon joined the GFDE board in January 2024 as the Grimsby Fish Merchants Association shareholder representative. He has a successful career in the Humber region spanning more than 30 years, having started in the ports, shipping and logisticsindustries and including senior leadership positions at Samksip, DFDS and Fred Olsen.

Over the past 12 years Simon has worked independently and has a business based in Grimsby that works mainly with the vast regional and national seafood cluster. His extensive international network includes commerce, embassies and governments at home and abroad. He is recognised as a ‘top 100 global seafood leader’ by a leading global seafood publication and is a Livery Member of the Fishmongers’ Company.
